Westmeria Counselling Services

Apex UK invests in its staff by holding a contract with Westmeria Counselling Services to provide counselling support and communication sessions to all staff on a regular basis. Westmeria Counselling services hold its roots with Westmeria Healthcare Ltd, now APEX UK, where the MD joined forces with Sue Doughty to begin a service allowing access to low cost counselling in the community.  This has been hugely successful and the charity relies on the support of companies such as Apex to continue their good work. It is important to Apex to support a local charity where we hold several community based contracts. Giving back and paying forward forms part of our values and ethos and mirrors the values of the counselling service. The connection between Apex providing a service to help with physical health to our clients and the Counselling Service helping people with mental health issues is fast addressing and closing the stigma and divide between the two.  The staff of Apex support the counselling service by attending the fundraising events and showing a general interest and passion in Westmeria Counselling Services.

Crisis

Apex are delighted to have been able to make a donation to homeless charity, Crisis for their “Crisis at Christmas” campaign, helping homeless people in need over the festive period.

We visited The Bermondsey Crisis day centre to donate 84 of our static foam mattresses, which will be used by Crisis to help offer those in need, a warm place to sleep over the Christmas period.

Each year Crisis converts buildings across the UK to house homeless people over the Christmas and New Year period, providing them with shelter, hot meals, health checks and entertainment. This not only offers them refuge, but gives them an opportunity to enjoy their Christmas in a way they may not have otherwise, helping them overcome loneliness and providing companionship.
